 A one-day, hands-on course for parents, guardians and parent advocates on how to advocate for special education services for students. The academy covers special education law, Individual Education Programs (IEPs), Section 504, how to ask for assessments, accommodations and meetings, and information on DRLC services.
The academy is taught by Disability Rights Legal Center attorneys who specialize in education law, and includes role playing, Q&A, and networking with other parents.
Academies are presented in English and Spanish. Proporcionamos servicios en Español.
Participants will receive snacks, lunch,a DRLC Education Advocacy Manual, and a Certificate of Completion.

$10 per person/parking $3 Lunch is provided
